Calcium

I went to Whole Foods for lunch yesterday because I was too lazy to make anything. While there I decided to see if they had any vegan calcium supplements. The lady in the vitamin/supplement aisle was very helpful, but people at Whole Foods are generally helpful and friendly...except that one time I asked if they carried Cool Whip...that guy was not happy with me ("Um, we only carry natural foods and that is not natural.")

So I bought this
VegLife Vegan Cal-Mag Citrate + D - It's a mouthful. It's 100% vegan and the ingredients are -cellulose, stearic acid, silica (all from vegetable sources) and VegiBlend (Alfalfa leaf, shavegrass herb, oat straw stem, carrot, broccoli, tomato concentrates) and mixed tocopherols. I have no idea what half of those things are but I like the sound of the stuff in the VegiBlend. The only problem is I have to down 3 of these to get 500 mg of calcium (50% Daily Value) and 200 IU of vitamin D (53%). And these are pretty good sized vitamins. I'm a little scared that this might upset my stomach - big honkin' vitamins usually do. We'll see how this goes.
