So I was worrying a bit about where I can find some of the main ingredients in the vegan recipes I found so far. I am sure there are plenty of vegan stores in the Baltimore area but making multiple stops for groceries isn't how I like to spend my weekends. There is a Wholefoods across from my work. Convenient right? I was crossing my fingers that they would have my main items. During my lunch break I obtained the following:
- Nutritional Yeast (cheesey substitute)
- Veganaise (vegan mayo)
- Silk Chocolate Soy Milk (an excellent replacement after my Instant Breakfast debacle)
My only problem is the chocolate soy milk has A LOT of sugar. Eh. I'll try not to drink too many.
But Wholefoods also has tahini! I have never found tahini anywhere!
MISSION - SUCCESSFUL!
