So Day 1 didn't turn out so great. I was successful up until the very last thing I ingested last night...instant breakfast. Foiled!
As a practicing vegetarian for 13 years, I know that its important to supplement your diet with vitamins and minerals you might not be getting. Instant breakfast was a great way to get essential vitamins and have it taste good - chocolatey goodness. I thought that if I mixed it with soy milk (which I usually do anyway) I would be in the clear. Wrong. What's the first ingredient in instant breakfast? Fat Free Milk. And after doing some research, what's in the lactose free stuff? Calcium Caseinate (From Cow’s Milk). Ugh.
And when I come in to work today, what does my co-worker tell me? It's free cone day at Ben & Jerry's. Oh dear. I feel like I am being tested.
On a good note, my boyfriend - who is away on business right now - read my blog and supported me 100%. This is why I love him. He totally understands why I need to do this.
