For our anniversary Duda and I planned to hit up Liquid Earth. There would be absolutely nothing for carnivorous Duda but he wanted to go anyway. He rules. After a half hour driving around Fells Point we finally found a parking spot - 15 minutes before Liquid Earth closed. Blurg! So no Liquid Earth for me...and I was really looking forward to some good vegan chocolate cake.
Instead, we went to Asahi Sushi in Fells Point. It's on Broadway and it's absolutely AMAZING. We used to go there all the time when we first started dating so I guess it was more appropriate than Liquid Earth with sentimental value and all (still thoroughly bummed though!!). But I must say Asahi Sushi is one of the best places to get sushi. I always get the fake stuff of course, no fishy stuff for me, but even their vegetable rolls are incredibly fresh. There are HUGE chucks of avacado in the avacado rolls, no overly pickled taste in the veggie roll, and really fresh shredded cucumber in the cucumber rolls. And from Duda's reaction every time we go to Asahi, no sushi restaurant can hold a candle to this place. GO THERE! I SWEAR YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!
Get the Salmon Mushroom roll, it's the only place i've ever found it and the taste....... holy jeez. The salmon mushroom roll compared to the normal specialty rolls you find at most places is like trying to compare Dark Side of the Moon to a Wierd Al Album (probably Alapalooza)
