Soy Butter?

A lot of the baking recipes I found call for vegan margarine. Fortunately Whole Foods had some Earth Balance "Natural Buttery Spread" so I picked some up. I haven't been able to bake with it yet but I did try it out last night.

So I wasn't feeling so hot last night. My stomach was acting funny this weekend and continued to act up on Tuesday. When I was little and my stomach was being dumb, my mom would make me some pasta and put a little butter in it for flavoring. It was bland enough to not upset my stomach but tastey enough for me to eat it. I decided to try this with my new soy butter spread. I threw some cooked whole wheat pasta in a bowl, mixed in my margarine, and added some salt. The margarine melted nicely and it completely tasted normal and buttery. It gave my pasta just enough flavor. Two thumbs up for Earth Balance.
